WHAT'S POURING AT PB?
Here you can check out our selection of what's pouring at Punky Brewster, along with some tasting notes so you know what you're in for!
DOUBLE VISION - OATS N DREAMS STOUT
RDBREW Z-POWERJUICE HAZY IPA
RHYME X REASON - MT. ALPHA IPA
BAYLANDS - SLACKLINE PINEAPPLE & PEACH SOUR
PARROTDOG - TINA HAZY IPA
Tina tended her garden with the care of a master horticulturist, patiently propagating new varieties of her favourite plants, always searching for that revolutionary hybrid. The ripe fruit flavours of this hazy IPA — citrus, tropical, even a little stonefruit — come from Nectaron, a newly-released cultivar and the result of years of similar work in the hop fields of New Zealand. A fine tribute to Tina and all her botanical friends.
HALLERTAU - CITRUS SQUEEZE SOUR
CRAFTWORK - GOOD LORD TRIPEL
This triple, highlights organic pilsner and toffee malt, and balances Nelson’s organic noble hop varieties. The Craftwork brewers chose the classic Wallonian Trappist yeast to give full expression to aroma and flavour. This beer need not be rushed and may be cellared for many years as it will evolve in the bottle. A warming drink, Good Lord Gold pours with a rocky head and a golden hue. It is best served in a chalice or red wine glass. Accompany with mature hard cheese, or sourdough loaves and fishes. Most importantly, relish a glass with your loved ones on your own special feast days.
TOWNSHEND - BLACK ARROW PILSNER
DOUBLE VISION - SMOOTH OPERATOR VANILLA CREAM ALE
WILDERNESS - ROSETTA FLANDERS RED
Other Champion beers have come and gone in the intervening years but due to the 2+ year cask aging in oak process we have had to be patient. Well the wait is finally over. A sour, fruity, red wine-like Belgian-style ale with supportive malt flavors and complex fruit flavors with the oak tannins that provide both structure in the body and dryness in the finish.
DUNCAN'S - RASPBERRY RIPPLE ICE CREAM SOUR
BEER BARONESS - HERITAGE ROUGE RED ALE
One of Beer Baroness' favourite flagship beers (Lady Danger) has been the inspiration behind this deliciously smooth and full bodied hoppy red ale. Heritage Rouge, with a lower ABV and an all American hop combination, you are greeted with grapefruit, lime and subtle sweet tropical fruit on the nose along with a mixture of dark berries, bittersweet caramel, chocolate and a rounded toasty sweetness. Close your eyes and this is a genuine heavily hopped pale ale, with just a twist of an amber malt profile in the tail.
TOWNSHEND - AOTEAROA PALE ALE
MCLEODS - BONFIRE SAISON
Amber-copper in the glass with a white candy floss-like head, Bonfire Saison has moderate notes of fresh mint, clove, vanilla & pepper on the palate followed with threads of citrus. Some grainy malt hints of toast & caramel with medium-high spice against soft malts. Balanced & noticeable bitterness, it's dry, fruity & refreshing.
URBANAUT - HERMOSA PINEAPPLE HAZY
Wash up on sun-baked shores when you try this dry, tropical hazy with notes of fresh-cut pineapple, peach and mango. Crisp as an ocean breeze and deliciously juicy with a bright golden glow, this beer will have you happily beached in a hammock and shooting off your last flare just for fun as you watch the sun go down over the horizon.
DEEP CREEK - BREWTIFUL HAZE HAZY IPA
BONEFACE - THE WIZARD PALE ALE
MCLEODS - LONGBOARDER LAGER
RHYME X REASON - BIG BANANA HEFEWEIZEN
MORNINGCIDER - CIDER
ZEFFER - APPLE CRUMBLE CIDER
CRIMSON BADGER GINGER BEER
