Only once the apples are fully ripe, are they harvested. Careful blending to enhance complex varietal characteristics results in a well balanced juice. This is fermented slowly, and matured for several months with minimum intervention to develop full bodied, rounded flavours.
One of New Zealand’s first new generation pale ales and now something of a classic, Emerson’s 1812 is all about balance. Pouring a bright amber hue beneath a deep cream coloured head, the aroma hints at caramel and dark toffee balanced with a light citrusy fruitiness.

Lovely aromas of coffee and vanilla, Pours really well and sits nicely in the glass with a head that looked milkshake thick. Taste takes the aroma lead, and there is an under carry of bitterness.
Aotearoa Pale Ale takes the spirit of the American version and reanimates it with a hopping regime that’s as Kiwi as a 25-year mortgage; offering a deep, long, new age flavour profile.
Flavor carries the aroma through before shifting to a generic malt profile and an assertive bitterness that coats the tongue and sticks around for just enough time that you miss it when it’s gone. Color is gold with a light reddish hue.

Although there's plenty of malty sweetness, this beer is all about the hops. But unlike an American IPA, which will mainly challenge you with grapefruity and pine-like flavours and aromas, the kiwi hops used in HopWired produce something more like a tropical punchbowl: Passion fruit, limes, oranges and Sauvignon Blanc grapes to name but a few.

three Boys Wheat beer

Three Boys Wheat evokes ancient abbey ales, when yeasts were wild and spices instead of hops were added for bitterness. We use genuine Belgian yeast that with the wheat malt produces the authentic frothy head, cloudiness and huge flavours sought in this wit bier (white beer) style. The addition of coriander and citrus zest really make this beer special.

cROUCHER lOW rIDER IPA

Definite hoppy spruce aromas. Flavours are similar: floral, resinous and moderate to pronounced bitterness. A long finish and very tasty. In the IPA style and real contender, in Low Alcohol, a triumph.
